PAWB is seeking to create and establish a PAWB Photonics Design Team (P2DT)

Recently, the Photonics Academy of Wales @ Bangor (PAWB) has been nurturing the possibility of trying to establish a novel endeavour.  The main impetus for this endeavour originates as a direct consequence of the distinctive style of the Approach to Photonics which has been developed within PAWB.  

The PAWB Approach to Photonics

Light Beams possess several inherent optical characteristics, with each characteristic being capable of some form of interaction with a specified optical interface, such that the initial optical information in the Light Beam can be attenuated to produce some new optical format as an outcome.   Careful observation of these optical outcomes, which PAWB specifically emphasises as possessing Solution-quality potential for newly envisaged applications within Photonics, serves to accentuate the PAWB Approach to Photonics.    The dual-feature combination of any inherent characteristic of a Light Beam with an appropriately selected attenuating interface will yield new Solution-quality information parameters.  It is the recognition of the potential of these new Solution-quality parameters which PAWB focuses on to encourage any individual to engage in additional precise Observations, supported by probing Investigations, to yield newly acquired Empirical Evidence.   From the interpretation and implications of this Empirical Evidence, a proposed Design Specification can be created for an innovative new application of a Light Beam-based concept, leading to a highly rewarding operational and functioning new outcome.   

The Quality Factors

When an individual undertakes the utilization of Solution-quality information to Design an outcome which possesses a high level of Photonics originality, then the Individual’s resourcefulness becomes of paramount importance.  The implementation of that individual’s clarity of Insight, inherent Imagination, and inventive Ingenuity all are fused together to form the involvement qualities which are integrated into the Design to complement the initially observed and investigated Solution-quality Light Beam information parameter, together with its now control-sensitive attenuation potential.

PAWB seeks to generate the opportunities for individuals to create outcomes which promote the utilization of attenuated Light Beams in the Design of highly Imaginative “Originality in Photonics” outcomes.  The achievement of such outcomes involves any participating Individual in a personal Performance in demonstrating their abilities in a variety of skills.

The Specific Purpose of P2DT

The PAWB Photonics Design Team (P2DT) will be established to provide opportunities for young Scientists and Engineers, growing up with individual futures in Wales, to acquire experience in the practical Design Skills and Techniques which are essential for the on-going development and realization of Creative and Innovative ideas within the modern enabling Technology of Photonics.  Such P2DT involvements also will provide opportunities for the activation and engagement of the inherent qualities of Imagination and Ingenuity possessed by these young Scientists and Engineers.  An enhanced motivation will be evident right from the initial Solution-quality vision at the very beginning of any Design opportunity, in that a worthwhile operational outcome always will be capable of a Design proposal, which will be achievable through an individual’s personal interaction with specific Light Beam parameters, attenuating interfaces, and the provision of such opportunities to Design.
